We had an amazing appointment with James. The entire time he gave us his full attention and listened to what we were looking for. I took my mom and she left with two scents she absolutely loved. She plans on purchases more on his online shop. I myself left with a scent I loved as well. All the scents he created are all unique and beautiful. He spent so much time having us sample anything we wanted or he recommended. On top of that he makes great conversation while also explaining the scents in great detail. His scents are affordable and long lasting. I would 100% shop there again.

I booked a studio tour during my brief visit to Seattle, and it definitely exceeded expectations. James was kind and patient while explaining provenances and purposes of different ingredients. He even went out of his way to let me smell individual component parts of finished blends! He was curious about my likes and dislikes and walked me through a thoughtful olfactory tour. He was particularly conscientious of not tiring out my nose, a consideration I hadn’t thought of as a new enthusiast. I had an extremely hard time narrowing down my favorites and will probably need a future second (or third!) revisit. Notget and Iota are definitely at the top of my list. Not only did I walk away with a sample pack of delightful scents, I gained an immense amount of knowledge that will allow me to further appreciate perfumery for years to come. I cannot recommend this business enough!

This was a one of a kind experience. James was so knowledgeable and amazing personality. I came in to find a birthday fragrance for a friend and ended up finding a fragrance that was made for me. Thank you James for your time and "opening" is just the scent for me in this moment in time.
